Tape Arrays |
|||||||||
| The Tape Array products are designed to allow two tape drives to appear to the host system as a single drive but to duplicate all operations to the drives simultaneously. The array operates without adding any overhead to the system and in fact due to the on board buffering can at times enhance the speed of backup and restores.
Arrays are available with 40MB/sec S/E or differential interfaces or 80 MB/sec LVD interfaces on the host side. The two separate slave interfaces are available with S/E, differential or LVD interfaces so giving a very flexible configuration matrix. |

| The Array controllers support most standard SCSI tape drives in use today including Tandberg and Quantum DLT8000, SDLT220 and SDLT320, Seagate and IBM LTO and LTO-2, IBM 3570, 3580 and 3590, SONY AIT-1, AIT-2 and AIT-3, HP DDS-2, DDS-3 and DDS-4 DAT, Exabyte Mammoth and Mammoth2.
The same controllers can also be used in a tape library configuration to allow for data mirroring within libraries or for mirroring of data across two separate tape libraries. |
