| The tape emulator product range allow the use of a tape drive or tape library on a system that does not normally support that device. Typical examples are the use of DLT and SuperDLT & Super AIT on proprietary systems such as the IBM iSeries (AS/400), Unisys A Series and the HP NonStop (formerly Tandem) systems. |

| The Tape Emulator 40 (TE40) has a differential SCSI host side interface and an LVD SCSI slave interface so allowing the required conversion to be done at the same time. Most of the proprietary system using the differential (HVD) SCSI bus. |
